  Next time a JW knocks at your door.....

  why not accept the offer to study two jw books, in return that the caller study the franz books?

  it would be fairly easy to set up a study schedule and questions.. what is the worse that could happen?

  someone desparate enough for a study to agree or the caller getting back in the car and marking your house with a big fat red a on the territory map.. thank you for considering my moment of apostate evilness.. y.

  I like the idea! But, it probably would lead to an early shut down.

  A twist to your idea could be to agree to the study, and then when they arrive for lesson #1, make sure that you have a copy of Crisis of Conscience, a dictionary, and a few other historical reference books on the table ready to be referred to at any time during the study. Say nothing about the items. Wait for the right moment and then start referring to some of the books during the lesson.

  Forcing it to go this way, uncovers the completely unreasonable method of tunnel vision study. It may jolt the teachers mind.

  god jehovah has had a preoccupation, if not an obsession with meat.

  although cain worked hard to produce an offering of vegetables, it was rejected because it was not meat.

  priests were instructed to save certain cuts of meat for jehovah, the fatty portions.

  I always wondered what possible connection could there be, between man deciding to kill a cow in order to enjoy a steak, and a female spider deciding to chow down down on her male partner following her impregnation...there seems to be a major disconnect.

  I'll admit to having watched the Butterfly Effect, but even still, I find it difficult to reconcile a reasonable co-relation between events like this.

  Hey Mr. Flipper,

  Thanks for the post. I can confirm that this technique is effective!

  As you know I am a current elder, working under cover to jolt as many minds as I can in to freedom. I am happy to say that it is the most satisfying project I have ever worked on. My primary targets include my family, and close friends, but I continue to work at helping strangers trapped in the JW cult through anonymous emails and letters.

  Also through teaching parts at the meetings and even at assemblies, elders can mention things that can subtly plant seeds of doubts.

  I find emphasizing ridiculous teachings to draw attention to them can work well. For example the extermination and slaughter of over 6 billion by a loving God.

  you know how the society has been cutting costs, part time help, cutting back on cd;s selling property etc... well, you know the famous watchtower read gods word daily " sign is on one side of the place,,,, well ,,, on the other side is a sign but also a clock which is lit at night!

  this maybe just coincidence but this sentence in the 15th feb, 2008 watchtower stroke me:.

  nine decades have passed since jesus was installed as king in heaven in 1914. as challenging as it may be, we must prove ourselves ready and keep on the watch.

  already the year 1914 is forty-four years in the past.

  ....but will it ever fully unravel?

  I am beginning to think there are enough uneducated people, enough power hungry men, and enough lazy thinkers out there in the JW rank and file - to keep this movement going strong for quite a while longer...

  ....but maybe not...there are signs that the things are beginning to crumble. The internet is powerful.

  i enjoy reading different views on the nature of humankind , so i look for them all the time , while i find no all encompassing theory i do occasionally find things worth sharing, this link is interesting and maybe you will find something of interest as well.. .

  have only been out of the organisation for 2 months and the wounds still run deep.

  particularly hard is the fact that my wife and 8 yr old son are now divided in our beliefs.

  we cannot go out as a family with our old friends like we use to.

  Another idea is simply this - you could let her know what you have discovered about the WT organization.

  If you are able to free her mind, then everything else will fall in to place.
